EQUALIZATION MEETING - Newell, South Dakota

 

March 16, 2015

 

 

 

The Newell City Commissioners met for an Equalization Meeting at 1800 pm, at City Hall.  The meeting was called to order by Mayor Wolff with the following Commissioners in attendance: Commissioner Adams, Commissioner Youngberg and School Board Member Kim Jackson, along with Mayor Wolff and, Finance Officer Jennifer Parrow.

 

Agenda: Motion by Commissioner Adams, 2^nd by Commissioner Youngberg; to approve the agenda.  All in favor.  Motion carried.

 

 

Board of Equalization Member Oath:  Finance Officer Parrow swore in Mayor Wolff, Commissioner Adams, Commissioner Youngberg, and Board Member Kim Jackson with the Board of Equalization Member Oath.    

 

 

Look up Storage LLC– PO Box 401 504 Harvard Ave Block 78 Parcel No 16.01.078. Motion by Commissioner Youngberg, 2^nd School Board Member Kim Jackson; to recommend the total value of the land to be lowered from $23,999 to $17,324 and the building structure value lowered from $75,218 to $64,259 as recommended by the Butte County Assessor’s Office.  Commissioner Adams aye, Commissioner Youngberg aye, and School Board Member Kim Jackson aye.  All in favor.  Motion carried.

 

 

Adjourn:  After Mayor Wolff thanked School Board Member Kim Jackson for her time sitting on the Board of Equalization, a motion was made by Commissioner Youngberg, 2^nd by Commissioner Adams to adjourn the Equalization Meeting at 1811 pm.  Commissioner Adams aye, Commissioner Youngberg aye, and School Board Member Kim Jackson aye. All in favor.  Motion carried.
